The International Day for Tolerance
The International Day for Tolerance was established by the UN General Assembly in 1995, due to the deepening of phenomena of intolerance, violence, nationalism, racism and anti-Semitism.
On November 16th we celebrated in our school the International Day of Tolerance. It is a celebration of respect, acceptance and appreciation of the rich diversity of cultures in the world.
On this occasion the students involved in the project Erasmus + "Try Walking In My Shoes" prepared an artistic performance, which main message was to show how important it is in life - respect for the views of other people, -their right to be different, practise different religions and hold different beliefs than ours .

Polish Team tried walking in Czech Shoes
Days 18th – 24th
May were a wonderful time for a Polish team of 11 students and 2 teachers. The
visit to the Czech Republic in Erasmus+ project was full of attractions, such
as: visiting Prague, Olomunec, Bouzov, Helfstyn and charming Hranice. Local and
school authorities, Czech teachers and students organized everything perfectly.
Great thanks to you all. Polish students spent the visit with Czech host
families – they increased speaking skills in English and learned Czech. All of
us would like to return to the place we met, we miss you all.
Special regards for Jana from Polish
teachers and students:)

First meeting - Slovenia, 09.02.2015-15.02.2015
Students and teachers from Poland, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Spain
met for the first time in Smarjeta on Monday the 9th. We spent five days together.
Our impression: Our stay in
Slovenia was a great international learning experience and we will never forget
it. It was wonderful to meet our friends and their teachers. We enjoyed their
company very much and had lots of fun together. We practiced our English and
compared our daily life. The programme was nice, intense and we learned much
about Slovenia. We had a wonderful visit to Nove Mesto, Ljubljana, and Postojna
Cave. When we had to say good bye we wished that this week would never end
because we made so many nice friends. It was an amazing experience that has
broadened our mind and introduced us to a new culture and customs. The Erasmus
Team from Poland enjoyed a successful, enjoyable and inspiring visit in
Smarjeta. We have met wonderful teachers and pupils from Smarjeta. Andrej and
his staff made us very welcome. We were introduced to a different school,
school system and teaching methods. Pupils learned about everyday life,
different habits and cultural varieties. The great experience was not all about
travelling abroad and using a foreign language but because of the fact that we
are creating a project including meeting new pupils, teachers, learning
cultural differences, getting to know each other and making friendships. We are
looking forward to our new project meeting in May.
